Equity Unbound is an emergent, collaborative curriculum/space which aims to create equity-focused, open, connected, intercultural learning experiences across classes, countries and contexts. Our slogan, borrowed from Lina Mounzer, is "the only way to make borders meaningless is to keep insisting on crossing them."

<h3>WELCOME</h3>Hello :) Welcome, and thank you for your interest in #MYFest22The &quot;Mid-Year Festival&quot; (MYFest) will be a “recharge and renewal experience” exploring:<ul><li>open educational practices, open publishing, digital literacies, </li><li>community building and reflection,</li><li>critical pedagogy, socially-just education and</li><li>wellbeing and joy. </li></ul><a href="https://equityunbound.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Equity Unbound</a> will host this open education festival experience virtually throughout June, July &amp; August 2022, co-created with co-organizers from around the globe (Egypt, US, Canada and South Africa). MYFest emerged out of conversations among educators identifying a need an equitable, inclusive, and nurturing virtual learning experience in 2022. MYFest hopes to build community and foster agency, by offering a choose-your-own-pathway learning opportunity that is glocal - global, yet meeting local needs. Participants in MYFest include higher education educators, K-12 teachers, educational developers of any kind (including learning/instructional designers/technologists), librarians, informal educators, coaches, facilitators, and open learners everywhere. Choose-your-own-learning-journey! Offerings will be interspersed throughout the three months, with a &quot;buffet approach&quot; (choose sessions that interest you) and &quot;NO FOMO&quot; principle: we will avoid scheduling overlapping events, so you can attend as many as you want within reasonable timezone limits.The event is &quot;pay-what-you-can&quot; and &quot;attend-what-you-want/can.”Formats include one-off workshops, deep conversations in the style of Virtually Connecting hallway conversations (which try to capture the conference water cooler conversations often had in hallways between sessions), and longer &quot;tracks&quot; where people will work together over several sessions to solidify and build on their learning in community. While some events will be announced as synchronous sessions, there will also be asynchronous material and activities, as well as a curation of artifacts and video recordings.

<h3>REGISTRATION</h3>We are committed to making this financially accessible for all. We are offering a monthly &quot;buffet&quot; pass for 100 USD, or an &quot;All-access&quot; pass for 250 USD. Registration fees will support the sustainability of Equity Unbound to continue offering such learning experiences.<ul><li>June buffet ($100)</li><li>July buffet ($100)</li><li>August buffet ($100)</li><li>All-access ($250)</li></ul>If the full fee of 100 USD for each month interferes with your ability to join, the discount code &quot;MYFest50&quot; will take 50% off the costs immediately. NOTE: to apply the discount code, when you start the registration process, you will see a blue link at the top left for entering the promo code - type it in and click &quot;apply&quot; and it will apply the discount to your total immediately. Remember after that to choose the number of tickets you want for each type of ticket before you &quot;check out&quot;.If this cost is still prohibitive (e.g. if you do not have institutional funding), we still want you to participate!
