MXLA 2017 Creative Economy Forum
CalArts, the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, ProMexico, and the Los Angeles Times are pleased to announce MXLA, a two-day symposium exploring the substance and economic impact of the cultural trade across the USA-Mexico border. A distinguished roster of artists and cultural leaders from both Mexico and the USA will come together to explore cross-border influences in film, publishing, visual art, music, youth culture, design/architecture. Among the many participants are Jonás Cuarón, Camilo Lara, Marisol Schulz, Jorge Volpi, Raul Zorrilla, Alma Ruiz, Carla Fernández, Harry Gamboa Jr., Rodrigo García, Gabriella Gómez-Mont, Pacho Paredes, Josh Kun, Janet Sternburg, Tom Rothman, Rubén Ortiz-Torres, and Ruth Estévez.
Please join us at REDCAT starting at 9:30 am Monday, June 26, and ending on Tuesday afternoon June 27.
Parking for this event is $20. Please note that the parking lot is cash-only after 6 pm.

If you’d like to attend MXLA in person, we may be able to accommodate additional guests as space becomes available in REDCAT’s theater.
