Drop in to this hands-on event where people of all genders create reusable menstrual pads for ourselves, our friends, and mutual aid networks. Meet us at artfarm (1123 Winchester Rd—yup! an old pawn shop! Don't mind our mess while the community commons is under construction).
All genders are welcome.
No sewing or menstruation experience is required.
We will gab, eat snacks... and maybe even sew menstrual pads. :)
Peers will help each other trace patterns, cut fabric, sew, snap buttons, learn how to clean these pads, and ~ cultivate excellent vibes~
Expect a casual atmosphere that may include de-stigmatizing body talk using gender-open language.
Guests can take a stack of fabric menstrual pads with them after the event, or leave the communally produced creations for artfarm's free store & our members' mutual aid networks.
Single-use tampons and pads will also be available on site for guests to snag—we know that reusable pads are not everyone's cup of tea!
Optional contributions help us secure supplies for these free pads.
