Free event! This new mural features 4 Black American women who shaped Utah history and lived in Salt Lake City near Richmond Park.

Richmond Park

The Sema Hadithi Foundation, Better Days, and Wasatch Community Gardens partnered to commission a mural for the community garden in Richmond Park depicting 4 Black American women who lived and worked in the neighborhood at different points in Utah history. Local artist Brooke Smart created the final mural design based on suggestions and votes from community leaders, and the finished creation will be unveiled at 6 pm on June 27 as part of the official Juneteenth Utah celebrations.Join us for an evening in the garden with storytellers and food trucks honoring the women who have shaped the place we call home! Once the mural subjects are revealed on the 27th, you can learn more about each of the women at <a href="https://www.utahwomenshistory.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">utahwomenshistory.org</a>.
