Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope! We provide the cuttings, the containers, and the propagation mediums. Just bring your curiosity and maybe a plant pun or two.

Will I get to take anything home?

You’ll leave with 4 pothos cuttings, each rooting in a different medium—water, sphagnum moss, perlite, and Fluval Stratum.

I’ve never propagated a plant before. Is this class for me?

100%. This class is made for beginners—no green thumb required, just a willingness to get nerdy about roots.

Is this class kid-friendly?

Sure thing—older kids who are into plants or sciencey stuff will enjoy it, but keep in mind we’ll be handling small tools and delicate cuttings.

Is the plant pet-safe?

Pothos is not pet-safe—it’s mildly toxic if eaten. So keep it up and away from curious pets!

What if my cuttings die at home? ?

No shame—we’ll teach you how to troubleshoot and bounce back like a propagation phoenix. Plus, you can always DM us pics for help after class!

Can I bring my own cuttings to ask about?

Sure! If you’ve got mystery cuttings or propagation projects at home, feel free to bring 'em along for show & tell (time permitting).
