Muddy's Kitchen Tour

Muddy's Bake Shop is an independent bakery located in Memphis, TN sharing lovin' from the oven since 2008. We make insanely delicious homestyle treats- cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes, and more.  Our small team makes everything fresh, from scratch using traditional methods and small batches. Place a preorder, swing by our walk-in shop, or participate in a class or event.  We can't wait to see ya!We began teaching leadership & training workshops internally in 2011 and then with other groups & individuals in 2017.  It was only natural to then start sharing baking classes...  We expanded our kitchen in 2021 to include a dedicated teaching classroom where we now host in-person baking classes, leadership training classes, birthday parties, and more.  We love teaching (and learning from) our wonderful students from many walks of life!

<h3>Welcome to our guided kitchen tour!</h3>Enjoy a fun and fast-paced peek behind the scenes of our bustling baking kitchen, located in the vibrant Broad Ave Arts District.You’ll experience up close how we make the Muddy’s magic… explore our kitchen, meet the bakers, have fun, ask questions, and learn lots about how we make your favorite baked goodies SO outrageously delicious!<h3>Please Note:</h3>* closed toe shoes MUST be worn to participate* capacity per tour is very limited; please no refunds after booking* children 12+ yrs are welcome on our tours* tours begin at 9am; doors open at 8:50am* address is 2497 Broad Ave (corner of Broad &amp; Merton)<h3>FAQ</h3>What should I wear?Closed-toe shoes are required in our kitchen. You may be provided with a hairnet. Other than that, let your style shine!Where do I park?Plenty of free parking on Broad Ave and Merton.How long is the tour?Each tour is approximately 35-45 minutes. We will be moving/standing throughout.Can I bring my posse?If there are enough tickets available for the date, yes! If you wish to schedule a private tour, email events@muddysbakeshop.com for more details.What about school groups?We would love to work with you to ensure a fun learning experience. Email events@muddysbakeshop.com to book a private tour for your school group.What about young children?We recommend children be at least 12 because your family’s safety is important to us. You’ll be touring a working kitchen- tight quarters with hot ovens, sharp knives, and large equipment.What if I have food allergies?Please use your best judgement. Flour, eggs, dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, coconut, and soy are in use and we cannot promise that our products- or the air- are 100% free of trace elements.Are animals permitted?Per FDA requirements, no animals are allowed into our production facility.What else is there to do in the neighborhood?Loads! Nearby restaurants include Lucky Cat ramen, The Liquor Store, Broadway Pizza, Bounty, and Inspire Community Café. Lots of indie retailers in the neighborhood including Falling Into Place, T. Clifton Art gallery, Arrow Creative Commons, Yarniverse, Mbazi Style, City &amp; State, Merchants on Broad, Bingham and Broad, 901 Games, Found vintage emporium, and Paper &amp; Clay ceramics. Attractions nearby are Overton Park, Memphis Zoo, Brooks Museum, Levitt Shell, and the Children’s Museum.
