What time does the park open?

The park and box office open at 6pm.

Are there bathrooms in the park?

Yes, there are porta-potties located in the park, as well as a wheel-chair accessible bathroom.

Can I bring food and alcohol?

Picnicking before the show is a time-honored SOS tradition and highly encouraged! Be prepared for an actor to steal a piece of cheese! A list of local restaurants can be found on website: www.shakespeareonthesound.org

Is there wheelchair accessibility?

Yes, there are spaces reserved for those with wheelchairs. Please contact us in advance so we can accommodate your full party.

Do I need to bring my own chair/blanket?

General admission tickets do not include chairs or blankets. VIP tickets include a high or low-back chair.

What time should I arrive?

It is recommended to arrive 30 minutes before the show, but the park opens at 5:00 pm, and we encourage patrons to arrive earlier and have a preshow picnic in the park and stake your area even earlier!

For our GA tickets, you are able to choose your own spot. For our VIP tickets, these seats are assigned in advance.

For the safety of our actors, pets are prohibited and will not be admitted into the show.

Is there late seating?

Late arrivals will be allowed in at the discretion of the front of house staff.

Is the play suitable for children?

Children are welcome to all performances; our shows are suitable for kids. There will be a kids show every show evening at 6:30pm near the house in Pinkney Park. The kids show is free to attend!

What is your refund/exchange policy?

All ticket sales are final, no refunds will be issued with the exception of inclement weather. If you cannot attend for the performance, you purchased tickets for, exchanges can be made by contacting the box office. See our Cancellation Policy on our website for more information.

Rowayton, CT is located forty-seven miles north of NYC in southern Fairfield County, Connecticut. Trains to Rowayton depart from Grand Central Terminal and travel time is 1 hour. Free parking located at Old School Field on Witch Lane, down the road from Pinkney Park.

General Admission

General admission tickets to our shows June 12-30th on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings are $25 for adults, $5 children 12 and under.

June 16 and 23th at 7:30pm on Tuesdays are "Pay-What-You-Will" Shakespeare

Suggested donation amounts are $25 for adults, and $5 for children 12 and under. Reserve your ticket online or at the box office in the park day-of.

June 20 at 1pm - Apprentice Company Matinee Performance is Pay-What-You-Will Shakespeare

Enjoy Shakespeare on the Sound's Apprentice Company in their "Understudy run" which is open to the general public. Come cheer on and support the next generation of theater makers! Walk-up admission only.

VIP Reserved seating to our shows any day of the week is $75.

Join us as Shakespeare on the Sound presents its annual tour of Shakespeare for Kids! This year we are presenting a 30-minute version of Much Ado About Nothing. This interactive production will have your children quoting Shakespeare without them even realizing it. Shakespeare on the Sound seamlessly combines the text of Shakespeare with everyday language in a fun and inventive way. By the way...when we say kids, we mean kids of all ages—from 5 to 95. All are welcome and encouraged!
