The Brearley Drama Department invites you to join us for this spring’s mainstage production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.
Everyone in Messina knows that there is a “merry war” between Benedick and Beatrice. So, when Benedick and his fellow soldiers come to stay for the summer, Don Pedro undertakes a mission to trick these would-be enemies into becoming lovers. In the midst of this raucous endeavor, a vicious plot undermines the wedding of young lovers Hero and Claudio. The residents of Messina must reevaluate their allegiances and decide if everything is, in fact, fair in love and war. Hijinks and plot twists abound in Brearley Drama’s spring mainstage production of Much Ado About Nothing. Come join us for one of Shakespeare’s romp of romantic comedy and watch as this upper school cast tackles the bard’s greatest banter.
This production features the work of a cast and crew of over 50 Brearley Upper School students. We welcome audience members of all ages. Runtime is approximately 2.5 hours with one 10 minute intermission.
