Celebrate all things reduce, reuse, FREE-cycle, and recycle! Rehome free clothes & books, go thrifting, make crafts, tour, and more!
Celebrate all things reduce, reuse, recycle with a day at the MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center (SSRC). Go secondhand shopping, tour the material recovery facility and vermicompost hoophouse, make upcycled crafts, and enjoy other activities all while listening to music provided by the student radio staion, Impact 89FM! Plus pick through hundreds of free clothes (adults and kids) and take home your favorites!
Activities led by--
- SSRC: Thrift shopping, Upcycle crafts, hundreds of pounds of FREE clothing plus books, tours of recycling and compost, planting seeds for home, tech deconstruction & discovery
- Students: Karma Kloth, Yarn Circle, Pollinators United, Sewing & Embroidery Club, Eco Reps, music by the Impact, art on display by Painting on the Edge, Student Made
- Campus departments: Bikes, Water Alliance, Student Organic Farm, Office of Sustainability, Counseling & Psychiatric Services, Science Festival
We're also doing a donation drive! Bring personal hygeine products or art supplies to donate to benefit MSU students and local teachers.
