Frequently asked questions

Is the auditorium ADA accessible?

Yes! There is elevator access to the library auditorium. Also, subtitles are always on.

Why did you create this club?

I created this club because I was very sad there are no independent movie theaters between Seattle and Bellingham.

What is the setup like?

The auditorium seats about 90 people in decently comfy mesh folding chairs and has a good sized projector screen. I have a Sony VPL-HW55ES-B projector and a decent soundbar with two small surrounds and one small sub that I will be setting up when the room opens and before the movie starts.

What kind of movies does SnoCo Movie Club show?

The screenings are limited to movies that have public performance rights (PPR) through the Kanopy streaming service offered by the library. But there are quite a few gems there including Moonlight, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and Wendy and Lucy.
