Movement up Lynn Peak: A transit-accessible hike to see TODs

Take the bus with us to an all-day hike! At the top, we'll be able to see transit-oriented developments from 1000 metres up!

By Movement: Metro Vancouver Transit Riders

Date and time

Sunday, June 2 · 9:15am - 4:45pm PDT

Location

Lynn Peak

Lynn Peak North Vancouver, BC V7K Canada

About this event

  • 7 hours 30 minutes

Join us on Movement's first group hike! We'll be venturing to Lynn Peak as we socialize and highlight the important role public transit plays in providing access to important outdoor amenities (and the current gaps in the system). Upon reaching Lynn Peak, the hike's guide will point out the Transportation-Oriented Development (TOD) visible from the mountain, which you can see through a set of binoculars that'll be shared among the hiking group! We'll then hike back down for ice cream and socialize at the End of the Line General Store. Be sure to sign-up soon as space is limited and on a first-come-first-serve basis!

What to Bring

  • Comfortable shoes for 1 hour of walking and 4 hours of hiking.
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • A filled water bottle
  • Optional: A packed lunch/snacks is recommended, as we won't reach the End of the Line General Store until 3:15pm.
  • Optional: Your own pair of binoculars
