About this event
- 4 days 1 hour
MountainCraft and Music Gathering is a 4 day long festival featuring a variety of workshops in primitive skills, earth skills, permaculture, fiber arts, outdoor survival and wildcrafting. The festival includes a benefit concert with the Earthy folk beats of Holy River, the legendary bluegrass band The Fruit Jar Howlers, some reggae for the soul with The Pocket Band, and the sweet lyrics and vocal harmonies of The Fisherman Band and Chris Compton. The events proceeds support The REED Center’s initiatives to plant trees and host environmentally conscious events like MountainCraft.
Set in the Appalachian Foothills on 150 acres of protected woodland. The site is home to a permaculture learning center, budding food forest, serene panoramic views, and a woodland amphitheater. The festival will include a kids area, medicine song circles, campfire stories, local food trucks, a red tent and a family friendly atmosphere to reconnect us to each other and to nature.
