Learn the fundamentals of writing software to control robots, kinetic sculpture, electro-mechanical music, and moving immersive spaces.
Control your physical machines with your own software.
Motion Control 3: The Code teaches participants to read sensors and control motors and actuators for their creative projects.
This hands-on workshop teaches both the practice and the underlying theory. We build on the previous workshop Motion Control 2: The Circuits and learn to generate the signals to control the circuits that drive motors and actuators.
We learn to read signals from switches and sensors. And we practice integrating the input and output to create precise motions.
This workshop is not about using a particular product. It's about deeply understanding the full stack of motion control from the code to the circuits to the forces and motions.
This workshop will use the Python programming language. Some experience coding in Python or a similar language is necessary.
