New work is hard, new work is joyous, new work is a JOURNEY!

We realized that the show we have been rehearsing, "Mothers of Freedom", was not the story we were able to tell at this moment. So we changed direction and have created a new show in just the span of 3 days.

We are so excited and proud to present this new work collaborative piece and take you all on a musical journey to the heart of mankind!

After the show we'll ask: what did you think? What surprised you, moved you, made you laugh? What do you want to see more of?

Although we are unsure of the future of our intitial production, we're delighted to have you be part of this stage of our journey!

Meaning of LASYA

Lasya is a female dance form that originated in India. In Hindu mythology, Lasya refers to the dance innovated and performed by the goddess Parvati, described to be gentle and graceful. According to legend, the Lasya was taught by Parvati to Usha, the daughter of Banasura. Usha, in turn, is regarded to have taught the dance to the milkmaids known as the gopikas, who are believed to have spread the technique to women throughout the land.

Details on the Performace

The piece runs 60 minutes with no intermission.

The venue is the Cambridge Foundry (101 Rogers Street, Cambridge, MA 02142).

The show is interactive and intergrative, so be ready to participate!

Directions and Parking

The theatre is a 10 minute walk from the red line (Kendall/MIT)

Parking is available at the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall (7 minute walk). There is also limited street parking.
