The Mother’s Day Gala is designed to celebrate, create safe spaces, build confidence, enable networking, and put forth an all-encompassing and empowering mantra that propels the Gala’s vision of supporting and preparing women to pursue their dreams of being their best version.
Mothers wear many different hats; in one day a mother can potentially juggle between being a chef, a doctor, a chauffeur, a cleaner, a counsellor, a mediator, a teacher, a coach for her children’s and loved ones. And they do so with so much strength, poise and grace. Subsequently these different roles are likely to live mothers feeling overwhelmed, fatigued, burnt out and stressed out especially because they have been able to take care of everyone else but themselves.
Family Life and Beyond in conjuction with Mesh of Mothers is setting out to create a space to honor the contribution of mothers and mother figures acknowledge the efforts of maternal bonds and the role of mothers in our society through hosting a “Mother’s Day Gala”. This gala will have mothers feel seen, heard, and celebrated through open and honest conversations on how to Embrace oneself as a mother/mother figure while staying in touch with who they want to become.
