Mosaic Workshop - Choose your own Pattern!
Let your imagination run wild as you create a unique mosaic masterpiece. No experience necessary - we will guide you every step of the way. This in-person workshop is perfect for beginners and seasoned crafters alike. Don't miss out on this opportunity to unleash your creativity! There are over 40 designs available, with more being added all the time. You will choose your design upon arrival.
You will use the mosaic tools to shape and glue the tessera (glass, gems, etc.) to fit the wood substrate. Once you have your substrate filled in with glass, you will leave for lunch to let the glue dry. About an hour later, everyone will return to grout and finish your project and you take it home the same day! The base of the mosaic will be made out of wood, so they are not meant to be outdoors.
You will arrive at 10:00 and get started creating your project, then leave around noonish to go to lunch. this will allow the adhesive dry an hour prior to grouting. When you return, you will grout and clean your project and you take it home the same day!
Ages 6 -12 need an accompanying adult (no charge for adult unless adult will also be doing a piece). A release waiver will be required and we will have a copy available for you when you arrive. Safety gloves, glasses and aprons will be available, or you can bring your own to assure proper fit.
The "Going" button does not get you registered or reserve you a seat. You must reserve your seat and your wood substrate via EventBrite.com or contact me to make other arrangements. Class size is limited to 12 people.
OKie Stained Glass Studio & Workshop is located on Highway 75 across from the Hampton Inn. It is next door to Diamond's Dog Grooming. An email will be sent a day or two before the workshop with additional information and directions.
