About this event

A new play premireing at the Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research.

Morning Journal is a pyrotechnic fugue in dramatic form, set in a Manhattan apartment handed down over the course of a decade.

It follows six young women (and their suitors) as they attempt to accept the audacity of pleasure, the frailty of love, and the mysticism of surrender. Morning Journal is Gasda’s most experimental play yet, an exercise in form that attempts to solve the riddle of his earlier work: how do you love freely when you know that eventually it will kill you?
