Event description
Acclaimed nonfiction writer Morgan Jerkins makes her fiction debut with a family saga filled with secrets, betrayal, and magic.

About this Event

Following the critical and popular success of her first two books of nonfiction, New York Times bestselling author Morgan Jerkins returns with her electrifying fiction debut, Caul Baby, a family saga filled with secrets, betrayal, intrigue, and magic. The novel tells the story of the Melancons, an old and powerful Harlem family known for their caul, a precious layer of skin that is the secret source of their healing power, and of the women whose desires for motherhood, success, and freedom entangle them with the mysterious family's fate. Engrossing and unique, Caul Baby illuminates the search for familial connection, the enduring power of tradition, and the dark corners of the human heart. Greenlight is thrilled to partner with publisher HarperCollins to provide access to this exclusive reading and conversation event.

All tickets include access to the event and a hardcover copy of Caul Baby for store pickup or shipping (shipping available in the US only), along with a bookplate signed by Morgan Jerkins (shipped separately). Note pickup and shipping options when purchasing tickets. Ticketholders will receive an exclusive login link from HarperCollins / Crowdcast one day before the event, and again immediately preceding the event.
