Breeze has been commissioned to create a large-scale public work that addresses Yale's historical roles and associations with slavery and the legacy of that history. Grounded in global African diasporic and Afro-futurist perspective, Nikesha Breeze's layered immersive works draw on African diasporic research, reclamation, and memorial, forging otherworldly spaces rich with storytelling and historical education. This program is presented in partnership with the Yale Committee for Art Recognizing Enslavement.
