What to Expect at Our Open Mic?

Our open mics are about meeting, connecting, and sharing in art and community. We encourage everyone to share a bit about themselves, talk to new people in the room, and stay to the end in order to get to know others and truly be in community.

The Monthly Open Mic takes place at The Perch Music & Arts Studio, equipped with a Steinway piano, microphones, Bluetooth speakers, guitars, bass, and ambient lighting, all at your disposal. Of course, you're free to bring your own instrument or equipment too.

Everyone, whether performing or enjoying, needs a ticket. Secure your spot with advance tickets—capacity's limited at the door, but often available! Late attendees welcome. To perform, just sign up at the door—first come, first served. Performers recieve up to 10 minutes of stage time depending on number of performers that evening.

Frequently asked questions

Who can participate?

This is an ALL LEVELS and ALL MEDIUMS open mic. We believe that connection and interaction between all different types of performers at different stages of their journey is a valuable experience for everyone.

Can I come to watch?

Heck yes! We encourage listeners to come to support friends, neighbors, and local artists. You'll have the opportunity to meet and learn about both new and established artists, as well as what projects they are up to and how to support them!

How/where/when do I sign up to perform?

The official sign up sheet will be at the door when you arrive for the open mic. Please arrive early to secure a spot - they are limited!

Do I have to perform something that fits the theme?

Not really. Our themes are a way to connect us for the night, not discourage people from attending. That being said, be creative with the theme! Maybe share a story performing that connects with the theme, or creatively connect your piece. We are here to learn about and support everyone that attends

How can I be a featured artist?

Featured artists are emerging or established public artists with a desire to connect with new audiences. Email Elise at elise.s.mark@gmail.com with information about your artistry, project, and why you are interested in being one of our featured artists. We accept all mediums.
