Use this Eventbrite form to receive a free Chromebook computer from Montgomery Connects. LIMIT 1 COMPUTER PER MONTGOMERY COUNTY RESIDENT. YOU WILL NOT BE PROVIDED A COMPUTER IF YOU ALREADY RECEIVED ONE FROM MONTGOMERY COUNTY. You must be a Montgomery County resident at least 7 years old. You do not need to be a U.S. citizen. If the event shows “Sold Out,” it means all the appointment tickets have been taken. Visit www.montgomerycountymd.gov/computer for more appointments.

EVERY PERSON RECEIVING A COMPUTER MUST HAVE AN EVENTBRITE REGISTRATION APPOINTMENT, APPEAR IN PERSON TO PICK IT UP AND BRING PHOTO ID AND PROOF OF ADDRESS. (If 3 people in the household are receiving computers, there must be 3 Eventbrite appointments). If you need help filling out this form, Marylanders Online will provide help in English and Spanish to fill out the form help line at 301-405-9810 Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm, or on Saturdays from 10am to 5 pm.

STEPS TO MAKE AN EVENTBRITE APPOINTMENT.

1. HAVE MONTGOMERY COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY CARD NUMBER BEFORE you begin the registration process. Visit https://mcpl.link/DigitalCard to get a digital library card or visit a library.

2. Have your EMAIL ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER to make an appointment. Parents can use their email and phone for children.

3.After you enter your name and email, YOU MUST CONTINUE TO ANSWER THE 23 QUESTIONS. You will receive an email titled “Add required info for Montgomery Connects” if your form is incomplete. YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL BE DELAYED AND MAY BE CANCELED if you do not answer all questions when you make the appointment. If one person is making appointments for more than one person, MAKE SURE YOU USE A SEPARATE NAME IN EACH APPOINTMENT. If you make all the appointments for the same name, the additional appointments may be canceled. Only one appointment and one computer per person.

4. EVERY PERSON WITH AN APPOINTMENT, INCLUDING CHILDREN, MUST APPEAR IN PERSON WITH PHOTO ID to pick-up the computer at your appointment. If you need to bring your children, do not schedule your appointment during school hours.

5. This form will take 5-10 minutes to complete after you have your Montgomery County Public Library Card number. But you will have up to 60 minutes to complete the form or you will have to start over. Questions marked with an asterisk (*) must be answered. In the Home Address section, type your street address in the “Address 1”, for example, “11111 Georgia Ave” and if you have one, type your apartment number in “Address 2”, for example, if you are in Apartment 101 or Unit 1A, type "101” or "1A" (do not type "Apt" or "Unit" etc., just type the number or letter). The County asks most questions for informational purposes, but you must answer all questions marked with an asterisk (*) to complete the registration.

6. The Eventbrite form will ask questions to see if you qualify for discounted internet service. These responses will not affect your eligibility for the computer.

WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

1. Check your email for an email from Eventbrite. Bring this as proof you have an appointment to receive a computer.

2. EVERY PERSON, INCLUDING CHILDREN, MUST APPEAR IN PERSON WITH PHOTO ID to pick-up the computer at your appointment. This is how we enforce the one computer per person limit. Passports, Driver’s Licenses, State IDs, school or work ID, or similar photo ID can be used. Bring a piece of mail addressed to you if your ID does not have an address or current address. Children can use report cards with an address that matches their parent’s ID or an online school account like ParentVue or Student Vue.

3. Do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your appointment. You will be asked to wait if you are early.

4. You will be asked for information and offered assistance at your appointment for low-cost internet programs.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO PICK UP A COMPUTER:

DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY. We will have enough computers for everyone with an appointment. People arriving before their appointment time will be asked to wait until people with earlier appointments are served.

If you need assistance in ASL, auxiliary aids, or in languages other than English or Spanish, the County will make reasonable accommodations. Contact us at MontgomeryConnects@montgomerycountymd.gov after you have made an appointment for special accommodations, or if you do not have an address.
