About this event

  • 1 day 10 hours

Expand your horizons of US opportunity –beyond the beltway. Come learn why knowledge-based industries of all kinds are thriving in Montana –home to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks and one of the most majestic places on earth. From photonics and quantum technologies to biopharma, SaaS and more, Montana is indeed Innovative by Nature. This two-day event will welcome you to Bozeman and Missoula, Montana, leaving room for a one day excursion to experience our inspirational state first-hand before returning to Washington, DC.

The Montana-based Headwaters Regional Technology and Innovation Hub focuses on smart, autonomous, photonic remote sensing technologies. This Tech Hub leverages regional assets—including one of the highest concentrations of photonics and optics firms in the U.S. and its diverse geographic landscape—to integrate remote sensing systems with advances in embedded processors with built-in artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities. In doing so, western Montana seeks to develop and deploy smart photonic sensing systems coupled with autonomous systems to address critical defense, resource management, and disaster prevention needs.
