DIRECTIONS

Do not rely on GPS. To Rock Oak Trailhead Parking Lot

> From Route 206, turn onto Flatbrook Road

> Stay on Flatbrook Road, turning right once at the intersection with Hotalen Rd.

>You will see two different entrances for Lake Ocquittink Camping area on your right, keep going straight on Grau Road when the family campground is on the right.

>You will see a sign for High Point State Park and Deckertown, turn left to follow Crigger Road. Steam Mill Camping area will be on the right.

>Turn left onto Deckertown Turnpike (sign says towards Milford, PA). Right is High Point.

>You will pass the TrailBlazers camp to the right and shortly after, Rock Oak Trailhead parking will be on your left hand side, a yellow sawhorse marking the pull off

>It is an unpaved parking lot, be aware of the conditions and drive slow! Dead ends to the trailhead.

Pre-registration only, accepted on first-come basis. Accepting 20 people per hike. Registration is free. Please be courteous to other prospective participants and cancel your registration ASAP if you’re unable to attend.

WHAT TO BRING

> Hiking boots or trail runners

> Water (at least 1-2 liters)

> Appropriate, layered clothing for variable weather

Whether you are looking for some peace and tranquility or some active outdoor recreation, Stokes State Forest is the place for you!  With over 63 miles of trails leading to locations like Sunrise Mountain, the Appalachian Trail, Tillman's Ravine, and Stepping Stones Falls there is plenty of natural beauty to explore.  Stokes is also a great place for fishing in one of the best trout streams in New Jersey, mountain biking, hunting, camping, skiing, snowmobiling, and the list goes on!
