Monday Mountaineers - Lake Ashroe, Red Maple & AT, Ladder Trail, Acropolis

Meet at Lake Ashroe parking area. We will hop on the Red Maple trail, to the Ladder trail that will bring us onto the AT. We will then head up the Acropolis trail to catch a beautiful view, before heading back the same way.

This is a longer out & back trail that will involve steep, rocky terrain to climb up. Bring snacks, plenty of water and a lunch!

Please make sure you read the description fully and are prepared for this hike length, terrain, and weather. Layers and hiking poles are our friends!!! This hike will be cancelled and you will be notified in case of inclement weather / dangerous trail or road condtions.

Milage: ~ 8.5 miles

Difficulty: Difficult, with steep/scrambling sections and uneven/rocky terrain. Ladder trail and Acropolis trail are challenging.

DIRECTIONS

Do not rely on GPS. To Lake Ashroe Parking area.

> From Route 206 after you pass the main entrance to Stokes on your right, continue less than a mile, then turn left onto Struble Road. (You will see a sign for Lake Ashroe)

> Follow Struble Rd. and you will see Lake Ashroe parking area on your left. We will meet in the parking lot.

Pre-registration only, accepted on a first-come basis. Accepting 20 people per hike. Registration is free. Please cancel your registration ASAP if you’re unable to attend
