Monday Evening Sewing Studio: Sew with Sergio!

Instructor: Sergio Guadarrama is the co-founder of Made X Hudson, our in-house designer, and owner of his own sustainable haute couture atelier, CELESTINO. With nearly two decades of experience, Sergio brings his invaluable industry knowledge to both our factory and the open-studio sewing sessions. He has taught and mentored fashion design students, worked with institutions and celebrities from the Metropolitan Opera to Billy Porter, and was also a finalist on Bravo’s Project Runway.

About the Class: Whether you’re a home sewer or budding designer, our Monday evening open-studio sessions are a chance for you to simply sew in good company or to develop your skills, with Sergio on hand to help with whatever you might need — from learning to sew to altering garments, adjusting a pattern, or even patterning your own design. Who is this class designed for?Anyone who wants or loves to sew, from novices to budding pros.

Material Checklist: You are expected to bring your own fabrics and tools, and are welcome to bring your own machine(s). When you submit your application, we will let you know what you may need during the workshop.Machine rental: If you would like to use our industrial-grade sewing machines, you must sign up for a prerequisite 2-hr training course. Please inquire via hello@madexhudson.com to book time for a weekday evening. We also have 2 home sewing machines available on a first-come, first-served basis. Machine rental is $25/session, be sure to select that option at checkout.
