Midwest Anxiety is a community based treatment program for anxiety disorders and more generalized problems involving excessive worry, anxiety, and stress reactions. We employ an interactive, action-oriented Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) approach, integrating features of behavioral modification into cognitive restructuring. We believe that people are not defined by their weaknesses, but by their strengths.  Life stressors are managed when these strengths are tapped and skills are developed to improve weaknesses.  We inspire a purpose driven and meaningful life by focusing on what you can become rather than what you can’t become.

He is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who is an optimist and passionate about helping people focus on what they can do rather than what they can't do. Randy believes that building a strong therapeutic relationship and tapping into a person's strengths are the most essential components of the therapeutic experience. Randy is passionate about changing the way we do mental health. He is focused on making mental health normal, a positive experience. He is also adamant about doing mental health differently. Randy believes the "old ways" suggest mental health is for the "broken" or "mentally ill." Randy believes that "Everyone Struggles." Sure. Some people struggle more than others, but everyone struggles with something. So....we've made it easy for you to join this class. This class is held Live Online. No need to get a baby sitter! You'll join from the convenience of your computer. When you join online, you'll see the Instructor and his/her screen. You'll not be seen or heard, but will be able to engage in conversation and ask questions through the chat platform. So....put your comfortable clothes on, sit back, and enjoy.SCHEDULEWe will meet each weekday Monday-Friday from 9:00am-9:30am. Drop in and out as you need to. We know life can be busy and you may need to squeeze learning CBT skills in with doing laundry, watching your child at soccer practice, making dinner, and everything else in your over scheduled life. You can take many of our classes LIVE online (like a webinar) anywhere life takes you.Access to the Class Portal. The class portal is where you will go in between classes to stay connected to the class instructor and class participants. In the class portal, you can ask questions, access class resources, and get support.Access to the Class Web Page. Each class has a dedicated web page you have unlimited access during and after the class. The class web page is where you’ll find the class notes and audio/video recording of the class. So, if you missed the LIVE portion of the class, just head to the class web page for everything you missed.Interactive. While the class won’t meet in person, you still get the interactive experience of an in person class during the LIVE portion of the class. Each class has a text based chat room for all your questions and discussions.Get To Wear Your Comfy Clothes. Since you won't be seen or heard during the class, you can wear your pajamas, comfy clothes, and even pick your nose (we don’t suggest, but hey you do you ;) while participating in the class.Participate Anywhere in the World. Since our classes are online, you can participate if you live in Minnesota, New York, on the beach, in the mountains, or anywhere else in the world.Learn the Basic CBT Skills Taught in Individual Therapy.
