About this event

There is so much information available about how to introduce solids to your baby, and it can be hard to sort the truth from the myths.

Nisha Johnson, of 2 Cheeky Monkeys Speech & Feeding, is a speech therapist of 14 years with specialized training in feeding therapy and infant feeding. This 90-minute class is for parents to talk about baby-led weaning, traditional solids introduction, pros and cons of approaches, and how to choose approach for your family that will best fit your needs. We will also discuss typical feeding development and eating, as well as ways to mitigate the risks of eating. This class will last about 90 minutes, with a planned presentation of 50-60 minutes, and Q&A to follow.

Participants will get a chance to look at, and explore various feeding utensils, and will take home handouts, and other presentation materials. This class is open to pre-crawling babies and their parents but will have advice applicable to all ages.
