Overview

High-energy R&B, killer horns, and a packed dance floor—Mojo Cannon brings the groove to Aurora Borealis. Come ready to move!

Mojo Cannon is a high-energy 10-piece R&B band from the Seattle area and a multi-time Washington Blues Society “Best Band” nominee. The band features Bob Virkelyst & Linda Lee on lead vocals, along with a tight, soulful rhythm section—Jim Brandt (bass), Mark Strom (rhythm guitar), Steve Thompson (drums), and Art Watkins (keyboards)—plus their standout three-piece horn section, the “13th Street Horns”: David Bernhardt (trumpet), John Coffey (tenor & baritone sax), and Craig “T-Bone” Daly (trombone).

For years, Mojo Cannon has kept dance floors packed at favorite regional venues including Aurora Borealis, Highway 99 Blues Club, Oxford Saloon, Royal Room, and The Conway Muse, and has appeared at major Northwest festivals like Mount Baker Blues Festival, Bite of Seattle, Taste of Tacoma, Taste of Edmonds, and Poverty Bay Blues Festival.

Expect a dynamic, feel-good groove that brings the room to life—every time.
