Thank you for registering for April’s Modern Punch Needle Workshop. I have been looking forward to this sold out class for several months, and I am very sad to announce the class will need to be postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation. The Tett Centre remains closed at this time. It is difficult to know how long this pandemic with continue. I know a few of you have already shifted dates, and I will continue to do this, until we are able to meet again. I thank you for your patience and understanding.
It is a difficult time for everyone right now, and it is hard to gauge when things will settle down. In the meantime, I have rescheduled a few dates for farther in the future. Fingers crossed that these dates will work! I will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with you effectively. Please check your inbox for details!

<H2 CLASS="MsoNormal">Modern Punch Needle Workshop</H2>
Punch Needle is an easy and addictive method of rug hooking! Using colour, composition and texture this traditional fibre medium is back with a modern twist. In this comprehensive Punch Needle workshop, with Danielle Folkerts, you will broaden your creative tool kit and discover all the materials, techniques, and resources needed to get started and create your own work of punch needle art!
You will learn how to create your own design, use a template, and transfer a pattern. You will learn how to thread and use a punch needle tool, work with colour and texture, and discover various techniques and tips to create a unique piece. Dive into materials, learn where to buy supplies, and uncover your creative style through an in-depth personal inspiration questionnaire! Danielle will show you how to troubleshoot any arising issues, and how to finish off your piece in a clean and professional way.

Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning, 370 King Street West
(Enter the front lobby. Walk down to the bottom level. You will find the studio on the 1st Floor.)

Registration must be made online. Book early! Spots are limited. Please note, tickets are non-refundable. You may transfer your ticket to another student – please confirm in advance via email. Ticket holder is responsible for collecting funds from replacement student. Thank you for understanding.

When I'm not in the studio painting or buried under a pile of wool working on textile projects, you can find me developing and instructing creative workshops. I’m known for my expressive paintings, travel-inspired textiles, upbeat and comprehensive workshops, and vibrant large-scale murals for Lululemon and more. I discovered punch needle 3 years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since! I’ve taken several workshops in Toronto, worked alongside avid “punchers”, and I’m thrilled to finally share this beautiful and addictive craft with you all! - Danielle Folkerts

Weeknight Parking: Monday to Friday after 5 p.m.
Parking is free after 5 p.m. in the lower parking lot unless there is an event taking place on site. Signs will be posted at the parking meters which are regulated by Queen's University, not the Tett Centre.
