Hand lettering is all the rage, and it’s time you joined the craze. Learn how to hand-letter like a pro from a pro. Join Leigh McMichael, owner of Lovely Scribe Calligraphy and recipient of Best of the Knot 2015, for an Introduction to Modern Calligraphy Workshop at Hoboken’s newest stationery hot-spot, Hudson Paperie. Join us on May 20th for 2.5 hours of lettering fun. We’ll bring the supplies, you bring the fun (and maybe a cocktail or two)!

Who’s Teaching:
Leigh McMichael, owner of Lovely Scribe Calligraphy and recipient of Best of the Knot 2015, is excited to share her calligraphy techniques and skills with you. With formal training in Copperplate Calligraphy and over 10 years of teaching experience, Leigh brings with her an excitement for all things hand lettered and a passion for mentoring like-minded creatives.
 
All the Details:
Whether you’ve never picked up a calligraphy pen before, or you’re looking to brush up on your technique- this is the class for you! You’ll learn how to properly use a calligraphy pen and nib to form strokes and letters in a style that is uniquely your own. Instruction is based on the Copperplate alphabet, but with a modern twist! After taking this beginner level calligraphy workshop, you’ll walk away with all the tools, confidence and skills needed to begin beautifying all things paper. And, because everything is better with a cocktail in-hand, we most certainly invite you to bring a bottle of the good stuff to help get that creativity flowing.
