Join us for the 2025 Mobile Data Mag Open Mic + Feature Summer Series! Once a month, we will celebrate poetry and prose in the historic Rapp Saloon at HI Santa Monica. Each evening spotlights a featured reader published in Mobile Data Mag and invites community members to paricipate in the open mic portion. Reading or performing in any language is always welcome. We will allow to 10-15 readers, with 1-3 featured poets followed by an open mic.

Mobile Data Mag on Substack (Systemic Dreaming on Threads) exists on the internet because the site(s) are for individuals who web surf to stumble across the selection of writers on this digital literary journal.

This event will be hosted by Jennifer Baptiste (she/her) @WheresMsB and Jesse Tovar (he/him) @AuthorPopUps and facilitated by HI Los Angeles Santa Monica Hostel as an event for both hostel guests and community members.

This is event is made possible by Hostelling International USA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. HI USA believes in the power of travel to foster a deeper understanding of people, places, and the world around. Learn more about our organization here. Volunteer to assist with events like this here.
