About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us for a Virtual Coffee Chat for parents of children who

are deaf plus.

This is a safe space for parents to chat with other parents who have children who are deaf or hard of hearing plus.

• The term “deaf plus” is a reference to the child’s hearing

status combined with additional conditions.

• The conditions impacting these children are many and

varied such as combined vision and hearing loss, children who

have hearing loss and are on the autism spectrum, and

children with cognitive disabilities.

• Learn about Fostering Joy with Candace Lindow-Davies.

Don’t forget your cup of coffee! (or favorite beverage)

Organized by

Minnesota Hands & Voices, a program of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, is a community of families with children who are deaf and hard of hearing. Our Parent Guides are themselves parents of diverse and wonderful children who are deaf and hard of hearing, and our Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Guides are a diverse group of successful adults ready to share their lived experiences with you. Together, we share the same emotions, decisions, and questions as the families we serve across the state. And, we know this – there are no limits to your child’s potential.
