After losing the willpower to live, he tried to commit suicide but heard a voice telling him to keep on living.He is told that the voice belonged to his former colleague and friend, Kawashima by a woman who claimed to be his “mitorishi”, a transition doula.That is the first time Shiba learns that the job of a mitorishi is to help people have a calm and smooth transition from life to death after they are sentenced the amount of time they have to live by doctors.Five years later Shiba has quitted his job before retirement and had become a mitorishi himself in Takahashi, Okayama.He is supporting his patients with care while working together with the doctors at the Kiyohara Clinic and getting help from volunteer staff.One day a new mitorishi, Minori Takamura and a new doctor, Souta Hayakawa arrive in town as their new post.The new mitorishi and doctor start to grow as people, while faced with different patients in difficult situations.

キャスト：榎木孝明、村上穂乃佳、高崎翔太、宇梶剛士原案：柴田久美子監督：白羽弥仁プロデューサー：嶋田豪©2019「みとりし」製作委員会あらすじ交通事故で娘をなくした柴 久生。生きる気力をなくし、自殺をしようとした瞬間に「生きろ」という声が聞こえた。その声は、柴が共に仕事をしてきた友人の川島の声だと、彼の“看取り士”だった女性から聞かされた。柴はそこで初めて、“看取り士”の仕事は、「医者から余命告知を受けた人が最期をできるだけ安らかに迎えられるように手伝うこと」だと知る。5年後、定年前に仕事を辞めた柴は、岡山県高梁市で次の仕事として看取り士を選んでいた。地元の病院・清原診療所と連携しながら、ボランティアスタッフと一緒に患者さんたちを温かく支えている。そんなある日、新任の医者・早川 奏太と新人看取り士・高村 みのりが着任してきた。新人の医者と看取り士は様々な事情の患者さんと出会い、成長していく。
