Share Mission Driven Human Resources Training for Nonprofits

Event Details

BUILD YOUR TEAM, MINIMIZE RISK, ACHIEVE SUCCESS

Four ½-day interactive training modules that will include instruction, small-group exercises and discussion in an open learning environment where everyone is encouraged to share best practices, challenges and questions to help strengthen your personal HR knowledge and expertise.

Classes run from 9:00 a.m. to noon with Registration and Breakfast from 8:30-9:00 a.m.

Day One - February 18: Building Your Team

  • Session 1: Using a Strengths-Based Approach for Hiring and Onboarding
  • Session 2: Recruiting, Interviewing, Background Checks & Hiring

Day Two - March 17: Mission Driven Performance

  • Session 1: Managing Performance, Progressive Discipline and Separations
  • Session 2: Mulit-Generational Management: Boomers, Gen-Xers, Millenials and Beyond

Day Three - April 14: Creating a Winning Culture

  • Session 1: Employee Engagement Strategies and Best Practices
  • Session 2: Employee Relations: Drug Testing, Discrimination, Harassment & Bullying

Day Four - May 19: Engaging All Your Resources

  • Session 1: HR Issues with Volunteers, Donors and Your Board
  • Session 2: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Nonprofits

Register for the entire series or individual classes.

$300/class or $1,000 for the entire series per person.

Each additional participant $100/class or $300 for the entire series.

EARLY BIRD PRICE: $900 FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES IF YOU REGISTER BY FEBRUARY 1ST

Cost includes registration, all course materials and breakfast.

This sign up will confirm your organization's attendance for the class(es).  You will recieve an invoice for payment separately.

 What's the refund policy?

If you register for a class or classes, we will hold a seat for you and we will expect you or someone from your organization to attend.  Because seats in the classes are limited and we are counting on your attendance, we cannot issue refunds, however, you may send someone else from your organization.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will maintain a list of everyone who registered and will use that to confirm attendance.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, you may register your organization and allow anyone in the organization to attend.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes.

The HR Collaborative exists to provide HR professionals who work for Southern Nevada nonprofits an opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practices, grow their networks and increase the effectiveness of their organizations by improving their HR strategies and practices.

The Collaborative was created and is managed by Maggie Harris and Greg Wilken.  Maggie is the founder of Harris Coaching and Consulting.  Maggie has more than 15 years' experience developing individuals and teams and is a strong believer that the most productive workplaces are made up of people who are able to do what they do best every day in environments that embrace differences.  Greg is the founder of Endunamo Consulting. Endunamo is a human resources consulting company that focuses on serving the HR needs of nonprofits in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada.  Greg's goal is to empower nonprofit organizations to achieve greater success, live out their values and build a positive culture for their employees.
