The American Red Cross Missing Maps project sets out to map communities missing from the map.

Who: Maplovers! No mapping experience is required, and training will be provided. This event is open to all ages, but please check in with our follow-up communications if mapping with someone under 16.What: Please join us for an American Red Cross Missing Maps mapathon! The event will include a group training on OpenStreetMap (OSM) and a talk on Missing Maps and how OSM data is used by the Red Cross. Where: RemoteWhen: Wednesday, February 3rd, 5:30pm-7:00pm ESTWhy: Because maps are powerful!WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? Please charge your laptop, track down your mouse, and grab your learning ears! WHAT DO I DO NOW? Get yourself an Eventbrite ticket for the event then go and tell your friends! If you are new to mapping, please create an account on Openstreetmap.org. If you have already mapped via the web based iD editor, maybe it&#x27;s time to try JOSM at the mapathon? It is an amazing piece of software that allows you to map more efficiently! You might want to consider downloading this ahead of time. NOTE: We will send event log in information 1 day in advance of our event.We look forward to &quot;seeing&quot; you there! Questions?
