You're invited to an exclusive Missing Maps event on Tuesday, April 1 from 3:30-6:00pm GMT in Lisbon, Portugal. At this mapathon, you will map along with MSF staff to contribute directly to our work in the field. Both beginners and experienced mappers are welcome to join, and the event will include a tutorial for new mappers.

What to bring:

A laptop computer
A mouse (a mouse isn't absolutely necessary but it does makes the mapping A LOT faster)

What is the Missing Maps program?

A special initiative founded by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), American Red Cross, British Red Cross, and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, Missing Maps is powered by volunteers around the world. Using OpenStreetMap, an open, free, and crowd-sourced platform, volunteers map underserved regions in order to provide international and local NGOs and individuals with geographic data to better respond to crises.

At this mapping party, we will be mapping parts of the world's most remote locations to help MSF respond more effectively to humanitarian emergencies like disease outbreaks, natural disasters, and more. We will be utilizing the OpenStreetMap Platform and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team Tasking Manager.
