ABOUT

The Midwest Broken Mirror Project is a photo/video series and body-empowerment program produced by the 501c3 nonprofit Creative Embers. 'Mirrors' explores how our culture, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, trauma, and abilities affect our feelings about our bodies. The project connects and inspires people to share their experiences and feel empowered by our collective differences.

LOCATION

The Saginaw Club is conveniently located in downtown Saginaw on the corner of Johnson

and North Washington streets. The Dow Events Center, which houses Wendler Arena and

the Heritage Theater, is just up Johnson Street, and the Howard Johnson Hotel is directly

across from The Dow Events Center. The remodeled Temple Theatre is next door.

PARKING

Parking is never a problem at the club. The Saginaw Club offers a supervised lot with

an electronically controlled gate on the premises, and there is a city parking ramp directly

across from the club for overflow parking on those rare occasions the club’s lot is full.

Members may use the parking lot any time they are at the club. Parking stickers are

available at the club office. Guests of members may use the parking lot when they are

attending a function at the club sponsored by a member.

Whatever your body wants to wear that night. Dress up to the max, come in a trashbag, or whip out the Jedi costume (because its May 4...). Our only recommendation is that you are colorful!

ARE THERE AGE LIMITS?
We do not have restrictions; however, teens 13+ will be best suited for this content. High School student ticket prices are reduced to $15 when they use the code 'HighSchool' at checkout.

IS THERE A SEATED DINNER?
No, this is a co-mingling gallery event with cocktails and appetizers. Seats and tables will be available, but there will be no formal seated dinner.

CAN I COME WHENEVER I WANT?
Technically, yes. However, speeches will be made around 8pm and if you want to participate in the silent auction, you may need to get there earlier than later.

WHAT IS THE 6PM VIP THING?
Prior to General Admission, there will be a special VIP cocktail hour with the artists, subjects, and sponsors. If you are interested in participating in this hour, please reach out to us or donate to the project at https://www.creativeembersnonprofit.org/sponsor
