Minimum Wage Information Session

City Council passed the new local minimum wage ordinance Nov. 25, 2019. The ordinance set the hourly minimum wage for Denver at $12.85, starting Jan. 1, 2020. The city also requires a separate minimum wage for contractors working on city-funded projects, as well as prevailing wage rates for projects using Denver dollars or on City of Denver property. Enforcement of all three of these requirements is now under one roof in Denver Labor. Our focus is on education and enforcement to help employers follow the law and help make sure employees are paid correctly according to the law.
