What is Mini Movers Mash-Up?

Mini Movers Mash-Up also serves as a community introduction to the Hawaiʻi Childcare & Education Provider Alliance (HCEPA), a newly formed nonprofit dedicated to advocating, connecting, and supporting the people who educate and care for Hawaiʻi’s youngest keiki.

What ages are welcome?

Approximately 6 months to 6 year old may attend with an adult. 7-8yo may attend IF accompanied by a younger friend/relative, they can follow gentle play expectations and remain supervised.

Is this a drop-off event?

No. This is a family participation event. An adult must remain with their child at all times.

Question 4

Is the music loud?

Accepted Answer

No. Music volume will be toddler-appropriate and adjusted throughout the event to keep it fun, not overwhelming.

Will it be too dark or bright?

There will be enough light to see your children. No strobe lights.

Will there be food?

Snacks and juice are provided for VIP children only. Families are welcome to bring their own snacks or drinks as needed.

Will there be a quiet room?

Yes! We will have a dedicated Quiet Room with low lighting for: Sensory breaks, nursing or feeding, calming down.

What's included with VIP?

Entry for 1 child. Up to 2 adults. Glow sticks. LED foam stick. Access to foam pit. Apple juice, water, snack + fruit. Priority check-in. VIP tickets are limited to maintain a calm, enjoyable experience.

What's included with General admission?

Entry for 1 child. Up to 2 adults. Access to the dance floor and glow atmosphere.

Is there a limit on how many children per adult?

For safety and comfort, we recommend no more than 2 children per adult. If attending with more children, please plan to bring an additional adult.

What should my child wear?

Comfortable clothes for movement! Socks or soft-soled shoes are recommended for little ones. Glow outfits encouraged (but totally optional).

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes - the venue is stroller-friendly. Please be mindful of dance floor areas and entry/exit ways.

What about allergies?

We aim to offer common, kid-friendly snacks. If your child has food allergies or sensitivities, we recommend bringing your own snacks to be safe.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable, but transferable to another family.

What if we arrive late?

No problem! The event runs for 2 hours to allow flexibility for nap schedules and late arrivals

You're free to take breaks anytime, use the Quiet Room as needed, step out and come back in, leave early if that's what your child needs. This is not a performance or a class - it's simply a shared experience for families to enjoy music, movement, and connection at their own pace.

Other expectations?

There's NO expectation for children to "dance", follow directions, or stay the whole time. Some kids will wiggle nonstop, some will watch from your arms, some may explore for 10 minutes and then need a break - all of that is normal and celebrated at HCEPA and Mini Movers Mash-Up.
