Welcome to the Mini Mah Jongg Tournament! Join us for a fun-filled day of friendly competition at Junkyard Social Club.

5:00 pm - doors open
5:30 pm - Introduction
5:45 pm - Round 1 play begins
6:45 pm - Snacks and drinks
7:15 pm - Round 2 play begins
8:15 pm - round 3 play begins
9:15 pm - Prizes and Celebration!

Your ticket includes sparkling water and snacks. Additional food, cocktails and beverages are available for purchase at the Junkyard Social Club Cafe.

Competitive tables - players should expect to play at a pace equal to 4 hands in 55 minutes
Just-for-fun tables - players should be comfortable playing without long pauses or a lot of questions and assume a pace of 3-4 hands per hour.

Refunds through May 31st only, after May 31st, no refunds will be granted.

Frequently asked questions

Is this for beginners, or just experienced players?

We have two types of tables - the Competitive tables will play 4 hands in 55 minutes with limited socializing and no time for questions. The "Just for fun" tables will play at a slower pace, and have time for questions if a beginning player is interested.

Is there parking close by?

The Junkyard Social Club has parking at the facility. However, when we host larger events like this one, you may have to park on the nearby street or across the street at the nearby office park. Please carpool, if possible, to make more spaces available.

Why are there only 3 rounds of play?

We're trying something new! With an evening tournament, we knew there wouldn't be time for 4 rounds, but we're getting as much Mahj into the evening as we can.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind or can't make it?

We will have a waitlist for this tournament. If you cancel on or before May 31st, a full refund will be issued. If you cancel after May 31st, it makes it very difficult for us to fill tables (and as you know, having exactly 4 at each table is very important). No refunds after May 31st.
