The main event is our one-day, in-person, mini-con on Saturday August 8th, 2026 at The Lone Tree Hub. A day filled with inspiration, creativity, and networking with fellow writers. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, this event is for you. Learn from experienced authors, participate in workshops, and connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for writing. Don't miss out on this opportunity to take your writing to the next level by connecting, crafting & creating with others.

Mini-Con Highlight: Colorado's Poet Laureate, Crisosto Apache, presents: Ecology and the Human Condition.

How do we—and the earth beneath us—endure the weight of history? Join this immersive workshop as we examine the resonant poetry of Simon J. Ortiz. Through dialogue and creative prompts, we will explore the profound intersection of the human condition and the landscape, ultimately crafting original poems that honor our survival and our ancestral connection to the land.

Crisosto Apache is from Mescalero, New Mexico, on the Mescalero Apache reservation, and is the 11th Colorado Poet Laureate, an award-winning poet, a three-time Pushcart Prize nominee, Montolvo Center Lucas Artist Fellow, and an Associate Professor of English and Creative Writing. Apache is the author of three poetry collections and advocates for the Two-spirit/Indigiqueer community.

Regular Conference Entry fee is $100 after July 1, 2026.

Walk-in Conference Entry fee is $110.
