Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
This introductory workshop explores the foundations of mindfulness. Participants will be guided through shamatha (calm-abiding) and vipassana (mindfulness) meditation practices. We’ll also enjoy a pour of rose tea from tea monk Kursten Brewer, inviting openness, presence, and connection throughout the experience.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Mudra Love is from Kathmandu, Nepal. She was introduced to meditation by her father, a former Buddhist monk. Over time, she has deepened her practice and understanding through training in programs such as Mindfulness Meditation with Jon Kabat-Zinn, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC).
Today, she shares a range of practices, including meditation, breathwork, self-compassion, and mindful movement.
