And that's why we're excited to announce the Mindful Eating Program. We are...
   - Jennifer Carino, a weight loss acupuncturist and meditation instructor.
   - William Song, a weight loss hypnotherapist and author of the book, Heaing and Hypnosis.
   - And we have created a six-week course that combines in-person classes with telephone classes.

We have blended the "outer game" with the "inner game" of eating.
By leveraging both your physical and mental skills, you create a more peaceful and healthy relationship with food. 

This isn't a "lose weight fast" program. It's about something deeper.
It's about building a foundation of skills, beliefs, and habits.
   - It's really about building a foundation to live a healthier lifestyle.

Ironically, by focusing on lifestyle rather than weight, you reach a tipping point.
Though it may take some work to reach that tipping point, once you reach it, losing weight becomes natural and long lasting.

Q. "I've tried losing weight many times. How is this pilot program any different?"
Most people who try to lose weight focus on taking action, action, action.
   - They restrict calories, exercise more, and are very disciplined.
   - Unfortunately, this level of mental effort can't be easily sustained.

Q. "Why can't that level of mental effort be sustained?"
   - Focusing on action first is like building walls and a roof of a house without first building a proper foundation.
   - Trying to force yourself to lose weight relies on will power, and will power is temporary and takes too much effort.

We focus on building the long-term foundation that supports long-term weight loss.
   - To truly lose weight, you need knowledge, the ability to apply that knowledge, and the ability to replace old habits with healthier habits.
   - By using habits, you get good results with less effort. Habits are key.

Q. "Once I'm at peace with food, will I still enjoy food?"
   - Yes. And you'll have more fun when you're in control instead of food controlling you.

Q. "What's in the program?"
Jennifer will cover nutrition and other related topics. 
   - This knowledge and set of techniques will create a strong physical foundation for weight loss. 

Jennifer and William will cover how to meditate to create a more peaceful relationship with food.
   - This means food won't control you; you'll have a healthier relationship with food.
   - And that means eating nutrient-dense food and healthy portions.

William will teach hypnosis to break unhealthy habits and replace them with better habits. 
   - Better habits make progress much smoother.

Q. "Will I have to share my life story during class?"
No. Keep your private details private. Focus on learning and practicing during class.

Q. "Will there be homework?"
Yes, there will be short homework assignments, because we know you have a busy life.

Q. "Will I have support from classmates or you in between classes?"
Yes and yes. During the program, if you have any difficulty or questions, please ask us.

Q. "What's the class schedule?"
   - All in-person and phone classes are on Wednesdays.
   - December 2, 9 and 16: In-person class (6:30 PM-8:00 PM).
   - December 23 and 30: Phone class (6:30 PM-7:00 PM).
   - January 6: In-person class (6:30 PM-8:00 PM).

   - In-person classes meet at 490 Post, Suite 450 (@ Mason St.), San Francisco, CA 94102.

Q. "What happens if I need to miss an in-person or phone class?"
If you can't make a class, no worries. We'll have an audio recording of each class.

Q. "What's the cost?"
It's $600.
   - If you want private sessions during the program, they're available at a discount during the program.

Q. "Since you're only accepting a few people for the pilot program, how are you deciding who gets in?"
We'll send an application to those who request one. 
   - Then we'll review the applications and notify people if they were accepted.
