<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN><SPAN>Mimouna is a holiday that comes from Moroccan and other North African Jewish communities</SPAN><SPAN>.</SPAN><SPAN> It begins the night Passover ends and marks the return of chametz back into our homes. Jews who lived in Muslim countries would open their homes to everyone on the block, including their Muslim neighbors, and everyone would eat flour-y pancakes, sing Arabic songs, dance, and celebrate together.</SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN><SPAN>We’re so excited to bring this holiday to our community here in New York! At our Mimouna this year, we’re gonna have sweet desserts, live music, dancing, and storytelling. </SPAN></SPAN>Join us in celebrating 5 years of revolutionary organizing among Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews at JFREJ, alongside our neighbors, and in finding joy and nourishment for the long fight ahead.</DIV>

<P><SPAN CLASS="il">Childcare</SPAN>: If you need <SPAN CLASS="il">childcare</SPAN> at the event, <A HREF="https://forms.gle/W3GM3KsDXEMphESY6" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">please fill out this form</A> ASAP. <SPAN CLASS="il">Childcare</SPAN> will be held in the same room as the event itself. We unfortunately don't have access to additional rooms at Widdi Hall. We know that means most young people will still want to hang with adults, but we will have <SPAN CLASS="il">childcare</SPAN> volunteers to keep them company throughout the evening. </P>
<P>General Access: Widdi Hall, our event venue, is 4 blocks away from the 59th St. local subway [N/R trains], 2 regular city blocks and 2 longer avenues, uphill. The venue itself is wheelchair accessible. There are 2 gender neutral bathrooms, one of them single stall. We plan to have photography, interpretation, <SPAN CLASS="il">childcare</SPAN>, live music, storytelling performances, and dancing at the event.
