About this event

We're thrilled to unveil our upcoming event: Mim Talk - Design & Wine!

Join us for an exclusive peek into Rafael Vinoly Architects NY Office, where we'll kick off with a brief tour.

Gamze Kahya, Assoc. AIA, Team Leader at RVA will delve into the fascinating design journey behind the new international terminal at Aeroporto Amerigo Vespucci in Florence, designed by Rafael Vinoly Architects, features a 19-acre vineyard atop the terminal, offering a sustainable and visually striking integration with the region's landscape. Reorienting the existing runway and incorporating a new light rail system enhances operability and connectivity, while the terminal's layout, with Arrivals and Departures facing each other across a central "Piazza," improves passenger flow and experience, reflecting Florence's cultural and practical ethos.

Following the presentation on wine production, indulge your senses with a curated wine tasting experience by Murat Guner, Owner at Sevilen Vineyard and Winery. Dive into the nuances of each sip as Murat takes you on a journey through Sevilen's finest selections. Learn about the intricate process of grape cultivation, harvesting, and wine-making techniques that contribute to the exceptional quality of Sevilen wines. Gain insight into the rich history and craftsmanship behind each bottle, enhancing your appreciation for the artistry of winemaking.

A special shoutout to Rafael Vinoly Architects for graciously hosting us at their New York office, to Sevilen Vineyard and Winery for tantalizing our palates with their exquisite wines, and to Nova Geophysical & Environmental Services for generously providing delicious snacks to complement the wine tasting experience.

Can't wait to raise a glass with you!
