About this event

This is a co-generational support group for motherless women. The purpose of this circle is to cultivate a community of women who understands what it means to navigate a world without their mom, who long for connection to other women for advice and support, and to find a space where they will never feel alone. Various topics chosen by the group to be discussed monthly. This group meets once per month on the first Tuesday of the month from 6-7:30 pm.

*Open to women ages 18 and older. You must have been 30 years old or younger at the time of your mother’s death. It must be at least 2 years since your mother’s death*

Frequently asked questions

How large is the group?

Attendance is capped at 15. We believe this number is the most supportive number to allow each attendee the most attention and energy available from the group.

What is the parking like?

There are two disability friendly spots on the concrete slabs leading up to the door entrance on Hartford. Please only use if absolutely needed. There is free 2 hour street parking surrounding the building.

Where is the meeting held?

We will meet in the foyer inside the main entrance. We will be the only meeting being held at this time so we will have full access to the space. The easiest way to enter is through the main entrance on Lake Dr. This will lead you directly into the foyer.

Hello, I am Miranda Malone, founder of Milwaukee Motherless Collective. I am a motherless daughter and mother, having lost my mom, Rosalie, when I was 5 months old. I am a psychotherapist in private practice in Shorewood, WI.

As a therapist, I am conversational, calm, open and direct. I pride myself on creating a comfortable yet energizing space for each of my clients. Pairing my clinical experience with my lived experience of mother loss, I felt aligned and inspired to found Milwaukee Motherless Collective. Our mission at Milwaukee Motherless Collective is to provide a supportive and empowering community for women who have experienced the profound loss of their mothers. We aim to create a safe space where members can find solace, understanding, and connection as they navigate the unique challenges and complexities of life without their mothers. Through sharing stories, fostering compassion, and offering resources, we strive to cultivate healing, resilience, and a sense of belonging for all motherless daughters on their journey of grief and growth.

I feel incredibly honored and grateful to have experienced the loss of my mom as it has all culminated to this community and to the work I do. I look forward to connecting with you on your own journey through grief.
