You’ve served your nation – now you can serve your community in your next career. Veterans and military spouses possess valuable skills that translate well to your next career in energy. We’re committed to delivering safe, reliable, and increasingly clean energy to power our nation as the demand for energy grows. Dominion Energy and Southern Company are looking for talent to help develop a national infrastructure for the rise in electric vehicle transportation, addressing cyber-security challenges, and supporting the business of energy. The Energy Industry will hire hundreds of thousands of individuals over the next five years in cutting-edge jobs that innovate and are future focused. Dominion Energy and Southern Company are leading the way

Organized by

A division of the Hampton Roads Workforce Council (HRWC), the Hampton Roads Veterans Employment Centers (HRVECs) partner with all the area’s military installations and local Chambers of Commerce to host Career Summits, DoD Skillbridge EXPOs, Executive Military Transition Seminars and Workshops on the Peninsula and Southside regions of Hampton Roads. Free of charge to military families, active-duty service members and veterans, each event connects our military community with dozens of businesses, universities, government agencies and veteran service organizations (VSOs) in a casual environment.

The HRVECs, Military Installation teams and Chambers of Commerce collaborate to design events that reach our military community. These men, women and youth often face difficulty in connecting with vetted resources. By offering an environment with vetted employers, entrepreneurs, wrap around service providers and higher education professionals, we create events that engage our local and inbound military community.
