Military Cultural Competency training is an entry level course that will enable you to become more aware of the military and veteran community as well enable you to become a peer mentor with the Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN).

This training is designed to provide volunteers with frontline intervention tools to address the immediate basic needs of individual service members, veterans and their families.

  • Addictive Behaviors
  • Stress Management
  • Suicide Prevention

MVPN Peer Support Positions include:

  • Peer Mentor
  • Peer Group Leader
  • Events Leader
  • Peer Court Mentor
  • TDCJ Veteran Volunteer
  • Community Outreach

The training is led by the MVPN Peer Service Coordinators in Travis County.

Registration is required to attend.
