CELEBRATING THE FALL MIGRATION OF ALL CREATURES IN BPC

South Cove Park

Enjoy the annual celebration of all the creatures that migrate through and pass by Battery Park City. The day features art making, birdwatching and a nature walk with <a href="https://thebeeconservancy.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Bee Conservancy</a> - plus a live presentation of <a href="https://www.mamadele.com/new/artists/recycled-sounds/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Recycled Sounds </a> from world renowned percussionist Dende Macedo, who invites participants to make instruments out of found materials and perform with him.

12PM: BIRDWATCHING / NATURE WALK

Join The Bee Conservancy’s founder, Master Beekeeper and Chief Melittologist, Guillermo Fernandez as he leads a nature walk and discusses native bees — including mason, leafcutter, carpenter, and bumble bees — and their habitats right inside of Battery Park City. TBC will also provide bee specimens, kids activities, and community science opportunities throughout the event.
