Reggae sensation Mighty Mystic has been on a seemingly endless national and international tour with no easing up in sight. In 2023 and 2024, Mighty Mystic racked up over 100 shows each year, culminating with headlining One Earth Reggae Fest in Bethlehem PA, Reggae at the Rock in Daytona Beach, FL, Truckee Reggae Fest and an epic performance at the Dry Diggings Festival, just to name a few.
This year also saw Mighty Mystic release his 5th studio album "Giant" which debuted high on the Billboard charts. The album boasted hits such as "Far from Jamaica" ft Sizzla & Tyler Loyal as well as "Goshen," a tribute to the community in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica where the artist hails from. Despite a prosperous career dating back to 2006, Mighty Mystic feels the fire of an artist who is just getting started.
His brand of “HARD ROOTS,” with his high energy stage performance, has been a magnet for his enthusiastic fan base. He has managed to hold firm to his Jamaican roots while adding elements of hip hop and rock, giving Mystic his own identifiable sound. Many of Mighty Mystic’s releases have become cult-like favorites within the global reggae genre. He has come a long way from performing at school talent shows to now sharing the stage with some of the greats like Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse, Damain Marley, Buju Banton, Collie Buddz and many more.
Coming to us all the way from Boston, this is Mystic’s first time in Nevada City in many years, so let’s give him a warm welcome! Opening and closing the night, Squarefield Massive brings us deep roots DJ sets to activate all of our sensory receptors.
